Emily and Ray are a gorgeous couple inside and out. They were a delight to work with and were happy to go with the flow and trust in the process! They got married at one of my favourite venues, Highcliffe castle and there was one shot they envisioned that they asked me to bring to life and that was a night time shot in front of the iconic stained glass windows. I was excited to do it and had a good think about how to best achieve it. I knew i wanted to backlight them and also thought that the stained glass windows would possibly need some extra lighting from the inside. I tested my idea out a couple of weeks before the big day and was happy with my choice of lighting. I used a powerful flash on the inside of the window (ad200) and a (Godox V1) flash on a post behind the couple and triggered them together to create one of my favourite nigh time shots to date!

The thing that stands out the most about Emily and Ray's wedding, even when writing this months down the line, was the epic florals. It was clear that a lot of time and planning had gone into the flower arrangements and it certainly paid off. Ray the groom proudly explained how they'd specifically chosen the layout and heights of the flowers to create the biggest impact.

There was so much to love about this wedding day from the vogue style shots of the Bridemaid's and groomsmen, to the sparkler finish.

The bouquet had extra meaning as it had the bride's grandmother's pearls wrapped around it.
