HEY, I'M

Hayley

Hi! I'm Hayley. I'm a passionate and experienced photographer based in the  New Forest in Hampshire, UK. With over 7 years of professional experience, I specialize in capturing the beautiful moments of weddings and families.

Now I did have several beautiful and slightly cheesy AI generated paragraphs about how my love of photography flourished into what is is now, with lots of buzz words and phrases like "capturing raw, authentic  moments" but I looked at this myself recently and thought "who is going to read this?". I wouldn't!

so instead I have posed myself some typical questions I have been asked over the years and given my honest answers. Hopefully it will be more entertaining than what was previously there and I think this will be the fastest way to get to know me and see if I will be a great fit to photograph your special event...

What’s been the most interesting thing I’ve been asked to do using photoshop?

Adding a dinosaur into a photo of a crowd of running guests. This was also one of my most favourite to orchestrate!

What was the most favourite event I have photographed?

Without a doubt, an Indian Mehndi. If you haven’t seen my blog, please check it out! It was so colourful and interesting and immersive.

What is my all-time favourite wedding venue?

I can’t actually choose just one as there are far too many! However, if you want my recommendations, I have written a blog. Since writing it I have shot at Lainston House in Winchester and will definitely be adding it to my updated list!

What am I most proud of?

My work has graced the front cover of wedding magazines on more than one occasion as well as featuring in several publications, I’ve also been published internationally and have been recognised as a New forest best photographer by threebestrated. I think what I’m most proud of though is that every year other wedding photographers book me to photograph their wedding and having the seal of approval from my talented piers is the greatest compliment,

What gets me dancing on the dance floor at a wedding?

Blink 182, bowling for Soup, jimmy eat world , Greenday ... basically all the songs from my misspent youth!

The most challenging shoot?

It was my first wedding. Every wedding from then on got easier and easier until they became second nature. My first wedding was rather a baptism of fire as it was in the Dominican republic. The light was harsh, and it was a real test of my photoshop skills as I taught myself how to remove sunburn from a bride’s back. I feel it really helped me to hone my skills quickly and build my confidence. That was 7 years ago and I haven’t looked back!

The one wedding venue I would give up an inconspicuous back tooth for?

Euridge manor. If you are getting married at this venue and are considering me as your wedding photographer, I will pay you! Only joking but I will offer a significant discount to shoot this venue as I think it would be amazing. Photography isn’t just a job to me, it is a passion!

Why don’t I specialise and just shoot weddings?

Weddings are what I'm most well known for, however, family shoots are something I’ve always done and enjoyed doing but I started shooting newborn babies when my happy couples/past bride’s and grooms started making babies and approaching me to photograph their beautiful babies. I couldn’t say no so I underwent some training on how to safely pose the baby and honed my studio lighting skills and now I welcome back many families into my studio who I have had on my books since their wedding and I adore watching them change and grow!

Kind words

"With all the photographers out there we really struggled to find the one for us, till we came across Hayley’s page!
Her style really stood out to us and she definitely lived up to the expectation.

We got married yesterday and by early afternoon the next day we had some amazing sneak peek photos
Hayley is amazing at organising so many people (patience of a saint) and has an amazing fun personality which really helped us to relax.

We will be recommending HS Photography to everyone!"
